School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Oak Park, Illinois Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Oak Park, IL Job Details Full-time | Contract $30 - $45 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications SLPA License Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for an enthusiastic SLPA looking to contribute to student growth during the upcoming 26/27 school year. You'll work exclusively at one high school, allowing you to build rapport, consistency, and a strong connection with your caseload.
Key Qualifications:
Holds an active Illinois SLPA license Experience or comfort working in educational and/or healthcare settings Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech/language therapy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Collaborative spirit to work closely with SLPs, teachers, and other school staff Passion for working with adolescents and supporting students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with screenings, assessments, and data collection Contribute to the preparation of therapy materials and maintain session documentation Collaborate with educational teams to support student IEP goals Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and progress Provide support and strategies to help students succeed in an academic environment This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, focusing your efforts on a single school community.
