About Joe's Kids Joe's Kids is a rapidly growing non-profit pediatric therapy clinic that provides physical, occupational, speech and dyslexia tutoring therapy services. We serve children with a wide variety of ability levels and diagnoses, including sensory processing disorders, autism, hypotonia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, brain injury, speech delay, dysphagia, and other genetic, neurological and orthopedic conditions. Key Responsibilities and Duties Direct Therapy:
Implementing treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP for individuals or groups.
Screenings:
Conducting speech-language screenings without interpretation.
Documentation:
Documenting client progress toward goals and reporting to the supervisor.
    Support Functions:
    Preparing therapy materials, setting up equipment, and managing daily logistics (e.g., scheduling, cleaning).
    Family Interaction:
    Assisting with family education and, if competent, acting as an interpreter.
    Requirements and Qualifications Education:
    A bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required.
    Registration:
    Must be registered with the Indiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association Board.
    Work Environment and Physical Demands Physicality:
    Involves sitting, walking, standing, and occasional lifting, stooping, or kneeling.
    Supervision:
    Requires regular direct and indirect supervision by an ASHA-certified SLP.
    Required Skills Clinical:
    Understanding of speech/language disorders and therapy techniques.
    Technical:
    Ability to use specialized equipment and technology.
    Interpersonal:
    Strong communication for interacting with clients, families, and staff.

    Has the potential for Hazardous Substance Exposure due to work duties Has the potential for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure due to work duties
    HIPAA STATUS
    Has been determined as eligible for access to/use of
    PHI & EPHI
    based on work duties and responsibilities in compliance with 'minimal necessary' standards
