School Speech Pathologist Assistant - Louisville, Kentucky Louisville, KY Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications SLPA License Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in a school setting in Louisville, KY. This contract position offers the chance to support students' communication development within an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans. Provide direct speech and language support to students under supervision. Document student progress and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes. Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program. Valid SLPA certification or eligibility within the state of Kentucky. Experience working with children in a school or educational setting. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. Understanding of speech and language disorders common in school-aged children.
