Melrose Public Schools is looking to hire a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work directly under a Licensed Speech Pathologist (SLP). Speech-Language Pathology Assistant 2026-2027
School Year Full Time, School Year Qualifications:
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License Responsibilities:
Assist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills. Document student progress toward meeting established IEP objectives. Assist speech-language pathologists in documenting student progress. Plan lessons for therapy sessions. Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities. Prepare charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate students speech development. Understand child development, managing challenging behaviors and social emotional learning.
