Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A specialized contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services during the Extended School Year (ESY) at a high school program in Ludlow, MA. This assignment focuses on supporting students within the Compass High Program, a unique educational setting tailored for high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. Responsibilities include delivering AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) services to a high school caseload, particularly within a personalized and supportive learning environment that emphasizes building independence skills outside of traditional classroom settings. While experience with AAC services is essential, conducting AAC evaluations is not a primary requirement.

Ludlow, MA (assignment based at Ludlow High School; client's main office is in West Springfield)
Contract Duration:
July 6, 2026 - August 7, 2026, with potential for renewal for the 2026-2027 school year
Schedule:
15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days
Caseload:
High school students with ASD and other learning differences
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure and certification as an SLP in compliance with state requirements Experience working within school settings, preferably with high school-age students Familiarity and practical experience with AAC services Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a specialized program This role offers the opportunity to support a meaningful and impactful program designed to enhance students' communication and independence.
