Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) role within a specialized school serving students aged 6 to 21 in Ellicott City, MD. The opportunity offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, primarily providing therapy services in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs. Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to student support. Travel as needed between assigned schools within the district to provide itinerant services.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Certification and experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), preferably with exposure to both school and healthcare settings. Ability to work with students aged 6-21 in a specialized educational environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Flexibility to work across multiple schools within the district. Understanding of caseload management and ability to adapt in a workload-driven setting.
Location:
This role is based in Ellicott City, MD, with itinerant travel responsibilities within the local district.
