Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role making a meaningful difference in the educational journey of students as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the upcoming school year. You'll have the opportunity to work on-site in a collaborative school environment in the Baltimore area, supporting K-12 learners in developing crucial communication skills. In this full-time, contract position, you'll be working 37.5 hours per week from September 2, 2026, through June 17, 2027. The specific campuses, caseload, and age groups will be determined prior to your start, allowing for a tailored and organized onboarding process. Your expertise will be valued as you provide direct therapy, collaborate with lead Speech Language Pathologists, and engage with dedicated educational teams invested in student success.
Required Qualifications:
Maryland State Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Ability to provide verification of required licenses Willingness to complete House Bill 486 background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review Experience in K-12 school settings preferred Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for helping children thrive
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of an SLP Support speech and language development for a diverse student population Document student progress and prepare reports as required Collaborate with educational staff and families to ensure comprehensive support Maintain thorough, organized records in accordance with school standards
