Job Description

We proudly offer in-clinic and daycare services in Maryland and school-based placements in Texas, creating meaningful connections and lasting impact in the communities we serve. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) to join our private practice and provide exceptional services to pediatric clients with communication and language disorders. As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant with Desired Pediatric Therapy Services, you will work closely with clients, caregivers/parents to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language impairments. Your expertise will contribute to improving students' communication skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
1.
Provide direct therapy services:
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to students with communication disorders.
  • Use a range of modalities, such as articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency therapy, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.

Collaborate with educators and parents:
  • Consult and collaborate with families/caregivers and other personnel to support client's goals.

Maintain accurate records and documentation:
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans according to school policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain confidential student records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Valid license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state of Maryland
  • Experience working with children or adolescents with speech and language disorders, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various communication disorders, assessment tools, and therapy techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, manage caseloads, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and using relevant technology/software.
