Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by bringing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to a supportive school setting near Upper Marlboro, MD! This contract opportunity lets you expand your clinical skills while working across a range of student ages, from early learners to high schoolers. Desired Qualifications:
Active, valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license Prior experience in school-based speech therapy (preferred, but not required) Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse student populations Organized, flexible, and eager to support a variety of caseloads Comfortable collaborating with supervising SLPs, educators, and family members
Key Responsibilities:
Assist supervising SLPs in delivering therapy sessions for students with varying speech and language needs Implement therapy plans, monitor student progress, and accurately document session outcomes Adapt therapy activities to suit different age groups and learning styles Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaborations, and ongoing training as needed Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and participation
