Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Osseo, MN. Two onsite, part-time positions are available for the upcoming academic year, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in both a middle school (Northdale
MS - 0.7 FTE
) and elementary/high school settings (Andover ES - HS). With a supportive culture and collaborative teams, you'll provide essential services that help students thrive academically and socially. The assignment runs from late August through early June, with a consistent weekday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
Must possess an active Minnesota Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license; candidates with pending licensure are not eligible for consideration. Experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred. Ability to work with diverse student populations and adapt interventions to varying needs. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong organizational skills and professionalism. Dual SLP certification visible on submitted credentials.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Support IEP goals, track student progress, and document sessions thoroughly. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to maximize student outcomes. Assist with screening and assessment processes. Participate in professional development opportunities as appropriate.
