Job Description

Comfort Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. This position provides an opportunity to work with children/adolescents ages 3 to 13 years in need of speech, language, and communication support. We are accepting applications for both SLPs and SLPAs, depending on experience and education.
Responsibilities:
For Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP): Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, and families to support client progress. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and services provided. Provide training and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), as needed. Ensure compliance with Minnesota state licensure and certification requirements. For Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA): Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by a licensed SLP. Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP. Document and report client progress to the supervising SLP. Prepare materials and maintain therapy equipment. Follow all state and federal regulations regarding SLP services.
Qualifications:
For SLPs:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Minnesota SLP license (or eligibility for licensure). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred. Experience in a clinical, educational, or healthcare setting is a plus.
For SLPAs:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field. Minnesota SLPA certification (or eligibility for certification). Experience working in speech therapy or with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
