Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will provide direct therapy services to children with a variety of communication disorders in our well-equipped office setting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a rewarding field and contribute to the success of our young clients.
Responsibilities:
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP. Provide direct therapy to children with articulation, phonology, language, fluency, and social communication disorders, both individually and in small groups. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and materials to engage children and facilitate progress. Document therapy sessions accurately and efficiently according to clinic policies. Collect data on client progress and report observations to the supervising SLP. Prepare therapy materials and maintain an organized treatment environment. Assist the SLP with administrative tasks such as scheduling, photocopying, and organizing client files. Communicate professionally and effectively with parents, caregivers, and other team members under the direction of the SLP. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as appropriate. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state regulations. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Assist with maintaining a clean and safe therapy environment.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field. Successful completion of an SLPA program recognized by ASHA. Eligibility for or current licensure/registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state of Missouri. Experience working with children with communication disorders is preferred. Strong understanding of child development and communication milestones. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with the supervising SLP and other team members. A positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation.

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
