Full Job Description Description:
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus + $5,000 Relocation Assistance Available Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) provides speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role supports students with communication challenges by implementing treatment plans, assisting with AAC devices, collecting data, and reinforcing communication strategies throughout the school day. Working alongside teachers, clinicians, and behavior staff, the SLP-A helps students develop communication, social, and functional language skills using evidence-based practices, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the ability to safely supervise students and perform essential job functions. Qualifications Completion of an accredited SLP-A program or Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or related field Eligible for Missouri SLP-A credentialing/registration 3+ years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges (school-based experience preferred) Experience with AAC devices, PECS, visual supports, and communication interventions Knowledge of ABA principles preferred Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills Key Responsibilities Implement speech and language therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP Support articulation, language, AAC, social communication, and functional communication goals Collect and document student progress data Prepare therapy materials and communication supports Assist teachers and staff with implementing communication strategies Promote communication skill generalization across classroom settings Maintain accurate documentation and comply with IEP and program requirements Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in meetings and training Support behavior intervention strategies and crisis response as needed Uphold BHA's mission and core values in all interactions

Starting Pay:
Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $35.00 per hour, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications
