Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near High Point, NC. This full-time contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, offering a supportive environment with district-provided supervision for Clinical Fellows and flexibility in caseload preferences. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver essential services to a diverse student population, focusing on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
Active North Carolina SLP license required Accepting candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or those in their Clinical Fellowship (CF) year (Supervision is available) Experience working in schools or with pediatric caseloads is highly valued Prior exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder and low cognitive disabilities preferred Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to manage a student caseload of up to 35 Must be available to work 35 to 37.5 hours per week for the full contract term (8/12/26 through 6/11/27)
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Document and track student progress in accordance with district and state regulations Participate in eligibility, IEP meetings, and staff development as needed Provide support and resources for students and families
