Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - School Based ?? Havelock, NC 2026-2027 School Year Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person position supporting students at a welcoming and supportive school district. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to assist in delivering speech and language services. SLP candidates will be responsible for independently providing evaluations, treatment, and supervision as required.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:10
PM Hours:
Up to 39 hours/week
Contract Dates:
August 17, 2026 - May 26, 2027
Setting:
In-person, school-based
Interview:
Virtual ? On-site SLP supervision available for SLPA candidates
Responsibilities SLPA Responsibilities:
Assist the supervising SLP in providing speech and language therapy services Implement treatment plans and document student progress Support clinical, educational, and documentation activities Work within the scope of the assigned plan of care
SLP Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop IEPs Provide direct therapy and monitor student progress Supervise SLPA (if applicable) Ensure compliance with all educational and clinical standards
Minimum Requirements For SLPA:
Associate's degree from an SLPA program OR Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Minimum of 100 hours supervised fieldwork (or state equivalent) Active SLPA license/certification in North Carolina 1 year of experience preferred
For SLP:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active SLP license in North Carolina ASHA CCCs preferred (or eligibility) Prior school-based experience preferred
