Job Description

About Company:
We are currently seeking a full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to join our preschool team. We currently have 2.5 Speech and Language Pathologists and our total preschool program ranges from 17-21 students each year. Our students receive daily SLP services. Summit Speech School is a nonprofit organization (established in 1967) that provides services for students that have hearing loss. We serve students in three programs: Early Intervention, Preschool (Approved Private School for Students with Disabilities) and Itinerant Services. Our vacancy is in the Preschool Program. Our students utilize hearing technologies (cochlear implants, baha(s), and hearing aids) to speak and listen; our approach is exclusively Listening and Spoken Language. Our state of the art facility is located in New Providence, NJ. All classrooms and speech rooms have an observation booth. We also have an audiology booth and 3 Educational Audiologists. If you join our team you will be surrounded by passionate educators committed to having a positive impact on children and families. You will be supported and enjoy coming to work everyday. Many of our staff members have been with us for more than 20 years!
Required:
New Jersey Department of Education Certification:
Speech and Language Specialist;
Licensed SLP Preferred:
Bilingual-Spanish Preferred:
Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certification Preferred:
Experience working with deaf/hard of hearing students
Preferred:
Deep knowledge of
Listening and Spoken Language Preferred:
Experience working with preschool aged students
Preferred:
Experience with the Highscope Curriculum Projected start date: September 3, 2026
Hours :
8:15AM-3:15PM Traditional School Calendar Competitive salary (60,000-80,000 basd on experience) and great benefits package
Summer:
