Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) contract position is open for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 public school located in Baldwinsville, NY. This role primarily supports elementary students while also providing services for some high school learners. The contract runs from September through June, coinciding with the academic calendar. In this position, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students. Your focus will be on conducting speech and language assessments, designing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with educators and families to foster an inclusive learning environment. Engagement in IEP meetings and partnership with teaching staff are key components to ensure tailored support and measurable student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans Deliver direct therapy services that address each student's unique communication needs Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement necessary accommodations and modifications Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions accordingly Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development Provide guidance and resources to parents and caregivers
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant educational legislation
