Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Job Responsibilities:
Implement programs or activities as directed by the supervising SLP Assist SLP with screenings, assessments and treatment of patients Complete documentation Communicate with patients, patients• families and physicians and staff Assist in the general operation of the department Assist with development of programs
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Requirements:
Education :
Either an Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or related field) with SLPA coursework.
Clinical Experience :
At least 100 hours of supervised clinical experience under a licensed SLP.
Supervision :
You must work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed SLP.
Licensing :
Apply for licensure through the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA), submit transcripts, verification of clinical hours, and pay the fee.
