Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant serving K-12 students in a vibrant educational environment near Oklahoma City, OK. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, with the assignment running from August 11, 2026, through May 20, 2027. You'll play a vital role by delivering both direct and indirect services as part of a collaborative educational team, without being assigned additional district duties such as bus supervision or parent pickup. Guaranteed hours and support for travel therapists, including eligibility for stipends, further enhance your experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program State licensure or eligibility as an SLPA in Oklahoma Previous experience with K-12 populations in school settings is highly desirable Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to supporting student growth and learning
Responsibilities:
Work closely with supervising Speech Language Pathologists to implement therapeutic interventions Provide direct services to students according to IEP goals and teacher recommendations Conduct screenings, assist in assessments, and support progress monitoring Maintain accurate documentation of sessions and student progress Participate in team meetings as needed within contracted hours
