Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity offers the chance to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) within a close-knit school community, making a tangible difference in the lives of approximately 40 students. In this engaging environment, you'll apply your expertise as an SLPA by collaborating with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff. You'll help students build their communication skills, fostering growth and confidence in the classroom setting.
Qualifications:
Current, valid SLPA license or certification as required by the state Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school or pediatric setting is ideal Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for helping young learners thrive
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students under the supervision of an SLP Implement tailored intervention plans as directed Document student progress and assist with record keeping Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student communication needs in the classroom Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed This full-time position enables you to build meaningful relationships and create impactful learning experiences for students.
