Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) is needed for a school-based contract position in Bethlehem, PA, from April 1 through the end of the school year. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in pediatric school settings, particularly those skilled in working with students on the autism spectrum. Responsibilities include providing speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 37 students, with the possibility of increasing to 47. The majority of students served are in grades K-5 and primarily have autism. The role involves delivering related services rather than serving as the primary case manager, requiring collaboration with educational staff to support students' communication needs. Work hours are full-time at 37.5 hours per week, with a daily schedule from 8:20 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.
The position covers two schools:
Jonah Colon Middle School and Smithfield Elementary.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Valid SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings Competence in providing speech-language therapy to children with autism Ability to manage a caseload of up to 47 students Flexibility to collaborate with school staff and families Candidates who are Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) or Clinical Fellows (CF) may also be considered.
