Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), supporting school-age students' communication and language development in a school setting near Paradise, CA. In this role, you'll work onsite, collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, and receive direct supervision in providing both direct and indirect services aligned with student IEPs. Your contributions will make a real difference for students facing speech and language challenges.
Qualified candidates bring:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, or a related field—or an AAS degree from an SLPA program Active SLPA license/certification Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work effectively in high-stress or crisis situations with staff, students, and families Willingness and ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed Commitment to providing onsite, in-person services (remote/virtual not available) Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the implementation of speech and language goals as outlined in each student's IEP Delivering direct and indirect interventions under the supervision of licensed SLPs Maintaining accurate, timely records and documentation Collaborating regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes Ensuring culturally sensitive, compassionate care in all student interactions This contract position offers a variety of outstanding benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with generous matching, scheduled and guaranteed weekly hours, and CEU reimbursement.
