SLPA Job Type Contract Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support speech-language services in a school-based setting in Providence, Rhode Island for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Provide direct services to students in individual and group settings Support data collection and documentation of student progress Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities Collaborate with teachers, staff, and supervising SLP to support student outcomes Maintain compliance with school, district, and state guidelines
Caseload:
Caseload will be determined based on district needs Multiple openings and program variations may be available; details will be discussed during the interview process Qualifications (Required): Active SLPA certification/license in accordance with Rhode Island state requirements Experience in a school-based setting preferred but not required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Assignment follows the academic calendar Opportunities for both part-time and full-time schedules Supportive supervision and team environment Compensation for this position ranges from $30.00 to $50.00.
