Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This contract role offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek from August 10 through May 28, providing a structured schedule ideal for professionals eager to make a lasting difference in educational settings. Candidates who are Monolingual are welcomed to apply.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or certification in the state Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, educators, and families Professionalism, adaptability, and eagerness to support diverse student needs
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language support services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress tracking Support students in developing communication, language, and social skills in classroom and small group settings Prepare materials and document progress according to district policies Participate in team meetings as directed and ensure open communication with educators and caregivers
