Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, empowering students to achieve their communication goals and supporting their academic success. In this school-based position, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver high-quality services that enhance students' abilities and confidence.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Hold an active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license/certification recognized by the state Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to follow treatment plans and implement therapy under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including those with a range of communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as prescribed by the supervising SLP Support students in both individual and group settings, adapting activities to meet their needs Track and document student progress in accordance with school's requirements and SLP guidelines Assist in developing and preparing materials for therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to school and district This contract opportunity is perfect for those passionate about making a difference in children's educational journey.
