Job Description
Make a difference every day as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in a dynamic educational environment! Support K-12 students at a local school campus, providing essential speech and language services that empower young learners to achieve their full potential. This full-time contract opportunity offers meaningful daily interaction, professional collaboration, and the reward of seeing your skills directly impact students' growth and communication abilities. Your role will focus on delivering in-person support as part of a multidisciplinary team, working with a caseload of approximately 60-65 students. Through the school year, you'll contribute to assessments, direct interventions, documentation, and progress monitoring for a vibrant, diverse group of children and adolescents.
What We're Looking For:
Active Texas SLPA license (required; district cannot consider those who need to complete clinical hours) Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred Ability to work on-site (virtual opportunities are not available for this assignment) Comfortable supporting students across the K-12 spectrum Must complete or verify fingerprints through the Texas Education Agency before startingWhat You'll Do:
Implement individualized speech and language therapy programs under SLP supervision Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress Collaborate with educators, parents, and clinicians to support student outcomes Adapt interventions to meet the needs of a culturally and linguistically diverse population Participate in meetings and professional development as required You'll become a valued member of a supportive school community, working a full-time schedule (up to 37.5 hours per week) from August to May.
