School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Houston, Texas Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Houston, TX Job Details Contract 9 hours ago Qualifications School experience SLPA License Working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds Full Job Description A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a current Texas license. Work directly with students across three vibrant campuses in the East and Northeast Houston Metro area: Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School. This contract-based position requires on-site support and is ideal for professionals eager to make a difference in diverse learning environments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Texas SLPA license (must be in hand at time of application) Demonstrated school-based experience as an SLPA (please include details in submission) Familiarity working in dynamic, multicultural school settings Reliable personal transportation for commuting daily between assigned campuses Comfortable navigating multiple school sites within the Houston area Capable of completing HISD fingerprinting requirements within three days of contract signing Ability to purchase a laptop (cost will be reimbursed after hiring)
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP in accordance with IEP goals Coordinate effectively with campus staff and families to support student progress Document intervention and maintain accurate records following district and regulatory guidelines Travel on-site to all specified campuses as needed, supporting students from diverse backgrounds Commit to the contract through May 2027, providing consistency and reliability for students and staff
