Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant on a contract assignment in a supportive educational setting. What You'll Bring:
Completion of an approved Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program Active SLPA license or eligibility to practice in the state Experience supporting speech and language services, ideally in a school setting Ability to follow suggested therapy strategies and document student progress Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate approach when working with school-aged children and diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic assistance and targeted speech-language interventions to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student advancements Engage with teachers, parents, and staff to support students' speech and language development in classroom settings Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for therapy sessions Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports in accordance with school protocols
