In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists to support communication and swallowing therapy services for children and adolescents. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster meaningful progress in patients' speech, language, and cognitive skills across various settings, including schools, clinics, and early intervention programs. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for children with speech, language, and swallowing disorders Conduct therapy sessions under supervision, engaging students in targeted exercises to improve communication skills Support early intervention programs by working directly with children to promote developmental milestones Help prepare therapy materials, assessments, and progress reports to ensure seamless service delivery Collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals within educational and home environments Monitor patient responses during sessions and document observations accurately in compliance with clinical protocols Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and adapt strategies as needed for optimal outcomes Requirements SLP-A license active. Prior experience working with children in educational, clinical, or pediatric settings is highly preferred Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders Familiarity with pediatric development stages and early intervention practices Understanding of IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes within school environments Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families Ability to work in acute care settings or school environments with flexibility and enthusiasm Relevant certifications or coursework in speech therapy assistance or related fields is a plus This paid role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to support children's communication development while advancing their career in speech-language pathology.
