Job Description

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Positions Open (Full Time)
Settings:
Competencies developed in office, dayhab, telehealth, school, and potential home based settings with children and adults Learning environment is ideal for SLPAs interested in professional enrichment, clinical leadership, and potential ASHA Certification or higher education
Job Requirements:
Assist Speech Language Pathologist in executing individual treatment plan for clients and other administrative projects Complete daily/progress notes in a timely manner in order to receive prompt compensation Display reliability and professionalism in all therapeutic settings Maintain active licensure throughout duration of employment Be available for sessions in emergent situations when SLP becomes unavailable Perform job solely within the appropriate scope of responsibilities described in the ASHA Scope of Practice for SLPA Perform only those tasks assigned by a supervising SLP Assist with clerical duties, such as preparing materials and scheduling activities, as directed by the SLP. Perform checks and maintenance of equipment. Assist with departmental operations (scheduling, record keeping, safety/maintenance of supplies and equipment). SLPA will protect clinical or confidential information and will not share information either orally or in writing to anyone other than the supervising SLP (the SLPA must comply with current HIPAA and FERPA guidelines) unless mandated by law
Qualifications:
Active Speech Language Pathology Assistant License in Texas Bachelors Degree education preferably in Communication Sciences and Disorders Minimum 1 year of experience preferred Effective written and verbal communication skills Effective customer relationship skills including track record of reliability and timeliness A review of this position description may have excluded some of the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties.
