Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a school-based focus. This role is perfect for SLPAs who are committed to enhancing communication skills in young learners and value meaningful work in an educational setting. There are four full-time openings near San Antonio, TX, making this an ideal chance to collaborate with colleagues and serve a diverse student population. Bilingual proficiency is required to provide effective support to both English and Spanish-speaking students and families.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current SLPA license or eligibility in the state of Texas School-based SLPA experience preferred Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic educational environment Commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress Implement therapy activities that promote speech, language, and communication growth Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals Maintain accurate records and report on student developments Participate in team meetings and trainings as required This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys, working alongside dedicated professionals.
