Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school setting in Shepherd, TX. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with speech-language pathologists to help improve student communication skills and contribute to their educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist. Work directly with students to practice speech exercises, communication techniques, and auditory processing activities. Collect data on student progress and support documentation efforts. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to foster a supportive learning environment. Prepare materials and manage therapy equipment for sessions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Experience working in a school environment preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff. Ability to follow detailed therapy plans and make accurate observations. Commitment to supporting the educational and developmental goals of students.
