Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting speech therapy services across diverse settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists, helping children and students improve their communication skills. You will be instrumental in implementing therapy plans, engaging with pediatric and school-aged populations, and contributing to meaningful progress in patients' lives. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering targeted speech therapy interventions for children and students. Implement therapy activities designed to improve speech, language, and communication skills based on individualized treatment plans. Support early intervention programs by working directly with children in pediatric clinics and ABA centers. Help prepare therapy materials, set up equipment, and organize sessions to ensure smooth and effective delivery of services. Monitor patient progress by documenting responses and providing feedback to supervising clinicians. Collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals within educational or home environments. Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance with all relevant medical and educational guidelines. Qualifications Proven experience working with children or students in pediatric or educational settings. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and communication disorders. Familiarity with early intervention practices and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes. Strong understanding of speech therapy techniques specific to pediatrics and school-aged populations. Ability to work effectively within acute care environments or school systems while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers. Relevant certifications or training as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant are preferred; a background in pediatrics or working with students is highly valued.
