Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Embrace an exciting opportunity supporting students as a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school environment near Universal City, TX. This contract position is designed for a motivated SLPA who is fluent in both English and Spanish, with a commitment to making a meaningful difference in students' lives. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, providing direct speech and language services and supporting communication development for students from diverse backgrounds.
What We're Looking For:
Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Strong proficiency in both English and Spanish; candidates will be assessed for Spanish skills during the interview Previous experience working in a school setting preferred Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other educational staff Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Your Role Will Include:
Delivering individualized and small-group speech-language intervention as outlined by supervising SLP Assisting with assessment and documentation of student progress Facilitating communication-focused activities in both English and Spanish Supporting generalization of communication skills into academic and social settings Maintaining accurate service records and collaborating on IEP goals Working a consistent schedule, 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year
