Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) near Universal City, TX for the 2024-2025 school year. This contract position runs from August 10 through May 28, offering you the chance to make a real impact across a vibrant school community. You'll work 37.5 hours each week, assisting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality therapy and intervention to students with a variety of communication needs. Bring your knowledge and enthusiasm as you collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to help students reach their potential.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent required Active SLPA license in Texas Experience working in educational settings or with pediatric populations preferred Open to Monolingual (bilingual a plus, but not necessary) Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication competence Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support student growth
Responsibilities:
Support the execution of IEP goals under a licensed SLP's direction Deliver speech therapy activities to individual students and small groups Collect and maintain accurate documentation and session notes Communicate with families, teachers, and therapy teams about student progress Adapt therapy activities to meet diverse learning needs Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative educational environment This is your opportunity to see the difference you can make in the lives of students every school day.
