Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting K-5 students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a friendly, engaging school environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering a chance to positively shape students' educational experiences over the entire academic year. As an SLPA, you'll provide essential services in collaboration with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists across a diverse elementary caseload.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Prior experience in school-based and/or healthcare speech-language settings strongly preferred Knowledge of best practices for K-5th grade students with speech and language needs Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families Strong organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic environments
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support Speech-Language Pathologists with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary students Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions under supervision Collect data, track progress, and report student outcomes Prepare engaging therapy materials and document interventions Participate in team meetings and contribute to student goal-setting Foster a positive, inclusive environment for students of varying communication abilities You'll enjoy a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, allowing for strong relationships with students and staff while making a measurable impact across the school community.
