Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students' communication development as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in an engaging academic setting. You'll work alongside certified speech-language pathologists to deliver direct services, implement therapy plans, and help students achieve meaningful progress in their speech and language skills.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active SLPA license or eligibility to practice as an SLPA in the state Previous experience serving school-aged children preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities Comfortable working under supervision of a speech-language pathologist Adaptable and patient, with a passion for helping students succeed
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language services to students as outlined in IEPs, under the guidance of SLPs Assist with screening, documentation, and progress monitoring Support the SLP with lesson preparation, material organization, and daily activities Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate language strategies into the classroom Participate in meetings and training as needed to best support students' developmental needs
