Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working in a supportive school environment, providing vital assistance to students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity is ideal for caring individuals committed to fostering positive communication skills in children and adolescents. Collaborate with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists and contribute to a collaborative team dedicated to student growth and achievement.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Active SLPA licensure Experience supporting SLPs in a school setting is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Organizational skills and attention to detail Compassionate, patient, and adaptable when addressing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students as guided by supervising SLPs Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress Prepare materials and activities to reinforce language and speech development Document student performance and session notes for ongoing evaluation Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support communication in the classroom Support with screenings, assessments, and data collection as needed Attend team meetings and contribute insights for student improvement
