Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) across multiple campuses in the Fairfax, VA area. This school-based role provides a diverse, collaborative environment where your skills will help students reach their communication goals throughout the academic year. You'll be working a consistent schedule—35 hours per week, with 7-hour workdays, allowing for both work-life balance and meaningful student interaction. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, to June 12, 2027. As you'll be placed in multiple school settings, you'll have the chance to work with a range of student populations and multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Speech or Communication Disorders required
Note:
Virginia does not issue SLPA licenses; SLP supervisors will manage caseloads Valid Virginia Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP), or eligibility to obtain Previous experience in a school setting preferred Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and other educational staff Strong organizational and communication abilities
