Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and help make a meaningful difference in students' lives. This contracted role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced speech-language pathologists and support students' communication growth through targeted interventions and collaboration. Your dedication and skills will empower learners to overcome challenges and achieve their potential throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid SLPA licensure in the state of Virginia Prior experience working in school settings is highly valued Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and families Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality Organizational skills and adaptability in a busy educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect speech-language services under supervision of a certified SLP Implement prescribed therapy plans tailored for individual student needs Document students' progress, session outcomes, and assist in reporting requirements Collaborate with SLPs, educators, and support staff for optimal service delivery Contribute to developing a positive, inclusive, and communicative school culture Support generalization of speech-language skills in classroom activities
