Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling opportunity working side-by-side with educators and students across multiple school sites near Woodbridge, VA for the upcoming academic year! Embrace a dynamic contract role shaping the communication skills of young learners in a supportive environment, with assignments running from August 24th, 2026, through June 12th, 2027. This position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) enthusiastic about making a meaningful impact across diverse school settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Speech or Communication Disorders is required Valid Virginia SLP license (SLPA license not required in VA) Prior experience supporting school-aged children with speech-language needs preferred Adaptability to work in multiple school settings within the district Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a collaborative educational team
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide direct speech and language intervention services to students as outlined in IEPs under the supervision of a licensed SLP Collaborate with teachers and educational teams to support student success across classrooms Assist with assessment data collection and documentation of student progress Prepare materials and follow instructional plans to facilitate engaging therapy sessions Support students' speech and language development in both individual and group settings Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines
