Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in the Tacoma area, specifically in Lakewood, WA, beginning as soon as possible through mid-June 2026. This contract role focuses on providing speech therapy services within a school setting, primarily serving an Early Childhood caseload. Qualified candidates must hold certification as an SLP and have prior experience in school-based speech-language pathology. Note that Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) support is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized speech-language pathology services to students, with an emphasis on Early Childhood education. Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to student needs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals. Participate in IEP meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:

Valid SLP certification and licensure to practice in Washington State. Experience working in school settings preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage caseload independently without SLPA assistance.
