Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school-based setting near Olympia, WA. This position allows you to make a positive impact on student growth and communication development under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Ideal candidates have a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Qualifications & Experience:
Active Washington State SLPA license or eligibility to obtain before assignment starts Previous experience in a K-12 or pediatric/school setting preferred Familiarity with delivering speech-language interventions and supporting IEP implementation Capability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and documentation abilities Strong interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of an SLP Assist with the implementation of IEP goals and track student progress Support screenings, assessments, and data collection Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student success Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate records Attend team meetings and contribute to progress discussions
