Job Description

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant New Richmond, WI $28.75 an hour - Part-time $28.75 an hour - Part-time The School District of New Richmond is seeking an assistant in our speech and language program.
JOB DUTIES
1. Provide therapy services to designated students under supervision of Speech Language Pathologist. 2. Document therapy services and measure progress towards goals. 3. Complete necessary documentation for Medical Assistance Billing. 4. Support Speech Language Pathologist with preparing materials for speech and language therapy sessions. 5. Assist with speech and language needs in the general education classroom. 6. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in communication disorders. 2. Experience working with students with speech and language disabilities. 3. Knowledge of therapy models in speech and language. 4. Understanding of child development including the development of language.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating machines; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. school offices/classrooms/passageways).
