Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Techniciancares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing, and wrapping them in approved manner conducive to sterilization anddisinfection techniques. Successful Required Qualifications:
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Knowledge of Instruments and their care
Knowledge of approved sterilization packaging requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
