Full Job Description Shift:
Night 5x8-Hour (18:00•02:30) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician•II to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe and sterile environment, supporting patient care and surgical procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting where precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols are paramount. Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices following strict aseptic techniques and hospital protocols Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring all equipment meets safety standards before use Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, accurately tracking usage and reordering as needed to prevent shortages Prepare instrument trays and packs according to specific procedural requirements, maintaining detailed documentation Follow proper handling procedures for delicate anatomical specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and storage Maintain comprehensive records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures Qualifications Proven experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare environment with a focus on instrument sterilization and decontamination Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand the function and handling of various medical instruments Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures and instrumentation Proficiency in inventory management systems to track supplies efficiently Expertise in aseptic technique to prevent contamination during processing activities Solid understanding of sterilization methods, including steam sterilization (autoclaving) and other approved techniques Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow detailed protocols accurately Join our team to play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective patient care through meticulous sterilization practices.
