PM Compensation Traveler Pay:
$30-33/hr ($1,125
  • $1,237 weekly) based on experience
Local Pay:
$26-29/hr ($975
  • $1,087 weekly) based on experience Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Coordinator to oversee daily Sterile Processing Department (SPD) operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate will provide leadership to SPD technicians while ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, assembled, sterilized, and distributed according to industry standards and regulatory guidelines. This role requires strong leadership, workflow coordination, quality assurance oversight, and collaboration with clinical departments to support safe and efficient patient care operations. Responsibilities Supervise sterile processing technicians and coordinate staffing assignments during assigned shifts Monitor decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment Ensure compliance with
ANSI/AAMI
standards, infection control guidelines, IFUs, OSHA regulations, and internal procedures Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain accurate sterilization and processing documentation Train, mentor, and support SPD staff development and competency validation Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration with appropriate departments Collaborate with leadership regarding scheduling, workflow management, and operational goals Maintain communication with clinical departments to ensure timely instrument availability Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and stock control processes Support quality improvement initiatives and KPI monitoring efforts Address customer service concerns professionally and effectively Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Education College degree preferred OR 3+ years of leadership experience in healthcare or manufacturing environments Required Certifications & Licensure One of the following certifications is required: CRCST
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician CSPDT
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician CSPM
  • Certified Sterile Processing Management CSIS
  • Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist Other accepted sterile processing certifications per facility guidelines Preferred Certifications CIS
  • Certified Instrument Specialist CHL
  • Healthcare Leadership Certification Required Skills & Experience Minimum three (3) years of Sterile Processing experience required Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of sterilization standards, infection control, and medical device reprocessing Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and sterile processing workflows Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office, reporting systems, and timekeeping software Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset with the ability to motivate and support staff For more details reach at or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.
