Job Description:
Sterile Processing Technician - Ambulatory Surgery Center We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at our Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines Inspect instruments and equipment for damage, defects, and wear and tear, and report any issues to management Assemble, package, and label surgical instruments and equipment for use in upcoming procedures Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment Ensure that all equipment and work areas are properly cleaned, disinfected, and organized Monitor and record sterilization equipment parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and exposure time, to ensure proper functioning Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hazardous material handling procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program preferred Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPD) preferred Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control principles, and medical terminology Ability to operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills If you are a dedicated and skilled Sterile Processing Technician with a passion for ensuring patient safety and quality care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at our Ambulatory Surgery Center.
