Job Description

JOB DETAILS
SPT's are responsible for instrument and medical device decontamination, organization, and packaging for surgeries in an operating room. In addition to sterilizing documents, SPT's record everything they do and keeping track of any apparatus deliveries or changes. SPT's do not work directly with patients. Sterile Processing Tech's generally work in a hospital and/or outpatient clinic setting.
Education/Requirements:
High School education is required, some states also require the completion of a certificate program. Program lengths vary but they tend to require anywhere from ten weeks to two years, though most are between 4 to 8 months. •We're building an initial pipeline (capped at 10 per specialty to start) 5 for AM and 5 for NOC. | Day shift coverage for weekend gaps + weekday needs | Orientation held on Mondays | Target go live is on 3/22/2026 | Target go live is on 3/22/2026 | Facility uses EPIC requires 3 year min exp with trauma level 1 experience.
