  • As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that's committed to the care and improvement of human life - one surgery at a time.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • + Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards + Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care + Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs + Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized + Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries •What qualifications you will need:•+ Training in basic aseptic technique and sterile processing + One year experience in surgical instrument sterilization processing, preferably in an acute care or ambulatory surgery center environment + Valid BCLS Certification upon employment•online certification not acceptable + Certification in Central Processing as per facility and state regulatory requirements •Benefits•Jacksonville Surgery Center offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
